  • Departing from Manali, in the luxurious valley of Kullu, the « valley of thousand gods », we trek in the Gaddis land, a semi nomad shepherds ethnic group. We can meet them between May and October in the high mountain pastures with the herds of sheep and goats.

The Gaddis are making long travels each year, leaving the low lands .overcome by the heat and watered by the monsoon, that they call Gadderan ou Shivbumi, « Land of Shiva », to go up in the altitude mountain pastures in the Kullu area, and even to Lahoul.

The trekking is taking place in alpine landscapes, going through oaks, cedars, rhododendrons and pines forests, to high mountains landscapes (Kalihali 4800 m).

The itinerary leads us to Dharamsala, exile land for the Tibetan escaping from the Chinese occupation.
