The Valley of the Gods
From 890 $ per person
Located at the south of Zanskar, the luxurious valley of Kullu, called the "valley of Gods", abounds with village-temples surrounded by tops exceeding the 4000 m. We propose you an easy trek where the beauty of the Himalayans landscapes is combined with the meeting with amazing populations among which the irreducible Malanis, this is a odd inward-looking community a large part of winter due to the snow which prohibits any contact with outside. Malanis, which people say, are descendents of soldiers of Alexander The Great, practice endogamy (inter Community marriage), and speak a language, which differs completely from the regional language. Malana moreover is not subjected to the Indian laws: it is a State in the State, which obeys its own laws, those of Jamu; the most powerful divinity of the area. The route of this trek completely out of the beaten paths could be modified according to the many festivals, which take place in the valley.
