  • The Tibetan Changtang, located in the South-east of Ladakh, has opened up to tourism recently and welcomes various groups of trekkers every summer. The landscapes are infinitely beautiful and luminous, and the spaces are huge with intense wildlife. These nomadic Changpas will amaze you with their dried meat and their tea with salted butter! Open to tourists only since 1992, Spiti is an area of exceptionally beautiful high mountains and lush valleys.

Just like Ladakhis, the great majority of inhabitants of Spiti are Buddhists and follows Tibetan culture. The traditional passage between Changtang and Spiti, Parang-La (5650 m) is an high altitude pass with an unobstructed view of the Tibetan area.

Our itinerary will lead you from the lunar banks of the Tso Kar lake to Spiti, via the marvelous village of Karzok situated by the Tso Moriri lakeside and the Parang-La pass. An exceptional but demanding trek due to the high altitude. We will ensure your acclimatization to the high altitude during your initial days in Leh (3500 m).
