  • This great state in the center of India offers many surprises, both cultural and natural. The state houses important architectural heritages and places of Hindu pilgrimage such as Ujjain where the Khumb Mela takes place every 12 years. Madhya Pradesh has no less than 5 national parks, not to mention many other small reserves.

    Madhya Pradesh will enchant you with its diverse population of Adivasi tribes, the rich farmers of the south. The green forests, blue houses, and pink twilight bathing the ruins of a palace... Madhya Pradesh is a magical land.

    Your journey begins with the experience of the train to take you to Orchha. Passage through Khajuraho and its erotic temples, then you start visiting parks. First Bandhavgarh and the largest density of tigers, Kanha and ending with Pench. The latter subject is deemed to Rudyard Kipling who was inspired by the jungle and the story of a wild child for his novel "The Jungle Book ".

Day 1: Arrive Delhi
Reception at the airport (usually at night ) . Transfer and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Delhi - Orchha - [5H train]
Early morning transfer to the station and express train to Jhansi. Transfer to Orchha, peaceful village nestled on the banks of the Betwa River, which houses splendid palace ruins of the Mughal era, and a multitude of temples, including the Raja Mahal and the Jahangir Mahal, masterpieces of Indian architecture. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3 Orchha
New day to discover this small town and take the time to walk there. Relax and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Orchha - Khajuraho - [4 H - 175 km]
Drive to Khajuraho. Check in at the hotel and visit temples, famous for their erotic sculptures and surrounded by exuberant nature. Overnight at hotel. In rural India, the road is an adventure. It is written, "Horn Please" on the back of all trucks and the Indians do not refrain. You will soon be surprised to see the driver weave between elephants, tractors, trucks, camels and carts!

Day 5: Khajuraho - Bandhavgarh - [5/6 H - 260 km]
Morning departure for the Bandhavgarh park. You will stroll through a variety of landscapes, reaching the district of Bandhavgarh. Depart for your first safari jeep. This afternoon will be devoted to the discovery of the highest hill at 300 m that overlooks the old fort. This is one of the oldest in India, dating back over 2500 years. Overnight at your hotel. The park has an area of 437 km2. It was created in 1968, with an area three times smaller at that time. There is a high density of animals and birds, as well as large forests of sal. Today we must preserve this fragile biodiversity. This is where white tigers, the last of which was killed in 1951, were found by the Maharaja.

Day 6: Bandhavgarh
Full day in the reserve. For each safari, you go on a jeep accompanied by a naturalist guide. This guide will be of great use to see the animals that can be glimpsed through the trees and stretches of savannah. Between two safaris, back to the hotel for lunch and rest. Bandhavgarh is the best known place of Madhya Pradesh, especially for its high density of tigers. This is not where you will find peace and quiet!

Day 7: Bandhavgarh - Chougan - [4H - 120 Km]
You take the road to Chougan, lost in the countryside village, which has many treasures including former a palace, a witness of the splendor of past empires. At this step off the beaten track you will find time for a night of rural India. You will stay with the village teacher, who will simply welcome you with warmth. You will also see the craft workshop making furniture. Overnight.

Day 8 Chougan - Kanha - [2/3H - 80 Km]
In the morning depart for a new reserve: Kanha. Check into your hotel and depart for a safari in the afternoon. The forest here is greener and the dense vines intertwine with tree trunks. You will see a high density of animals including Barasingha deer and Langur monkeys. Return to the lodge in the late afternoon. The reserve extends over a large area and there are two main villages to reside in. We advise you to stay in the village of Mukki.

Day 9: Kanha
Full day safari. If you wish, and if you ’re lucky, you will get the opportunity to sit atop an elephant while watching tigers. The animals of the jungle begin to shout warnings to each other when the guides and elephants are in proximity. Exciting! If tigers are there, tourists are then allowed access to an elephant. Between two safaris, back to the hotel for lunch and rest.

Day 10: Kanha - Pench - [ 4/5h - 150 Km]
You continue your journey to the Pench reserve , which is split between Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra . This reserve is less known and less frequented, however equally stunning. Check into your hotel and depart for a safari in the afternoon.

Day 11: Pench - Nagpur - Delhi - [2H - 80 Km & 1:30 flight ]
Early morning safari in the park. The vegetation is lush and varied, and you will see among other things the "Ghost trees", white trees that become slightly phosphorescent in the light of the moon. You can see the huge lake that serves as the border between the two states. At 11am , you will go visit a pottery village to observe the traditional methods still used. Back to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon, drive to Nagpur airport and catch your flight to Delhi. Reception at the airport, transfer to your hotel and overnight .

Day 12: Delhi
Take a tour of Delhi where the splendor of the Mughal Empire opposes modernism of the new age. Shop around Chandni Chowk, the heart of the old shopping district in Old Delhi. Transfer to the international airport in the evening. End of our services.
