  • Sham, famous for its architecture, almonds and apricots, is the richest of the Ladakh regions. Situated at an altitude that relatively low for Ladakh (average 3400 m), the life of its inhabitants is easier than in the high pastures of Changtang or Zanskar valleys.

The village of Nimmu, located 3100 m above sea level and where you will stay, is the ideal place to enjoy this region of Ladakh, especially when there are only a few days. Located at the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers and 40 minutes from the airport, it is the only location that offers a low altitude, thereby reducing the acclimatization period.

Whether its rafting, hiking, exploring villages and Buddhist monasteries or just lazing in the beautiful orchards of the property, this is the ideal program to beat the summer heat and enjoy a week and two full weekends in Ladakh.
