D 1 [23/12] : Arrive Fort Cochin (Kochi)
Welcome at the airport and transfer to the Island of Fort Cochin. Night at charming hotel.
Optional activities (contact us) :

- Go by bike towards Allepey taking the coastal road stretchin to 63 km (2 days)

- Visit the city on a boat (4 H)

- Take a bike to explore Thattekkad where you will visit "Salim Ali Bird sanctuary" (3 days) < BR>
- Meet the local people at a fishing village built as an eco village (1 day)

D 2 [24/12] : Fort Cochin
Tour of the city, full of various European influences, from Portugal to England, with the backdrop of the tropical coast of Malabar. Discover of the oldest church in the country, winding streets lined with old Portuguese houses and mosques, Chinese fishing nets, a sixteenth century synagogue, a palace built by the Portuguese ... Fort Cochin is also an ideal place to attend a performance of Kathakali, the traditional dance of South India. Overnight at hotel.
D 3 [25/12] : Fort Cochin - Munnar [5H drive - 140 Km]
You take the road to Munnar through the lush Western Ghats (mountain). Relax and overnight at hotel.

D 4 [26/12] : Munnar : Eravikulam National Park & plantations
Day to explore the Eravikulam National Park (Warning: the park is closed annually between February and March. Your advisor will communicate the exact dates of closure) and plantations of tea and coffee; possibility of trekking in the park or visit with English-speaking naturalist guide (not included in the price, to organize on the spot with the hotel). You may have the opportunity to see the famous Nilgiri Thar, wild mountain goats. Overnight at hotel.

D 5 [27/12] : Munnar – Elephant Valley Resort (Kodaikanal) [5- 6 H drive - 180 Km]
Ccontinue your journey to a place both wild and heavenly, called "Elephant Valley". This place is made of an eco-lodge surrounded by jungle, coffee plantations, waterfalls, traditional villages and wildlife, including elephants. Check –in to eco-lodge. In the afternoon, the eco-lodge offers many activities; (organized locally with the hotel) walk through coffee plantations, hike to waterfalls, horseback riding, yoga & meditation. Night at ecolodge.

D 6 [28/12] : Elephant Valley
Day for relaxation and discovery of nature and wildlife surrounding. Enjoy the activities of the hotel according to your desires. Night at the eco-lodge.

D 7 [29/12] : Kodaikanal (Elephant Valley) – Periyar [120 Km – 3/4 H drive]
You take small winding mountain roads to the Periyar National Reserve, on the border between Tamil Nadu and Kerala. In the afternoon, explore the Periyar reserve where many activities: boat trip on the lake (buy your tickets at the opening of the park because the boats are full quickly) on the back of elephant in spices plantations, jeep or on foot in the jungle, for the more adventurous bamboo rafting or relaxing. Ayurvedic massages at the hotel (not included in the price, hold in place with the hotel). Overnight at hotel.

D 8 [30/12] : Periyar – « Backwaters » [130/150 Km – 3/4 H drive]
Take road to the plains of Palai, which features rice out of sight, countless coconut trees and quiet villages. Accommodation at the hotel on the edge of beautiful Lake Vembanad. In the afternoon, relaxing, and / or discovery of Palai Plain rice fields, small peaceful villages and its beautiful canals and lagoons, backwaters. Overnight at hotel.

D 9 [31/12] : Backwaters – Canoeing
You board a canoe to navigate the canals, lagoons and the Vembanad Lake and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the calm waters. Along the canals, you will discover the typical houses of bamboo and mahogany and the simplicity of the lifestyle of Keralites. You disembark at Alleppey and your driver will take you to your hotel, a group of small huts along the inviting Backwaters, an ideal place to spend the night of New Years Eve.

D 10 [01/01] : "Houseboat sur les Backwaters"
In the morning, you embark on a traditional boat, the "houseboat". The captain of the ship and the cook waiting for you will take care of you for the next 24 hours. You are going to discover the main lagoon and Lake Vembanad. Let you carry the rhythm of the water, enjoying the cuisine and the view of picturesque villages of hibiscus, bougainvillea, coconut and eternal rice. Meals and overnight on board (double room with bathroom). Full board.

D 11[02/01] : Houseboat (Backwaters) - Cochin airport
Your Houseboat takes you back to the mainland in the late morning. The opportunity to visit Alleppey, the "city of Backwaters", a pleasant village with shops, temples, churches. On the road to Cochin, it is possible to stop at Marari Beach to set foot in the water and watch the fishing activity. Your driver then takes you to Cochin airport where you fly taking you back to Delhi. End of our services.
