Day 1

Welcome at the airport by your driver and meet your Travel Expert, then transfer to the hotel. This short stop in the capital of India will give you some time to enjoy an exquisite Indian dinner. Enjoy traditional Indian food; between tandoori chicken or tikka masala, chapatis or samosas, treat yourself after your hours of flight. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2

Early but unforgettable flight to Leh over the splendid Himalayas, offering you a breathtaking view. Welcome at Leh Airport by a Shanti Travel Representative and transfer to guest house by jeep. (Note: This flight is subject to weather conditions. It may be delayed if the weather is poor). First experience of the "Little Tibet" and the altitude. Spend the whole afternoon relaxing. It is advisable to take plenty of rest on your first day to acclimatize to the altitude (3 500m). Overnight in guest house.
Day 3

Head towards the west of Indus Valley, mainly populated by Buddhists from the Tibetan highlands. An ideal place for you to immerse yourself in the culture of Ladakh and discover the majestic red and white monasteries, pierced by a multitude of small windows, which blend harmoniously into the landscape. Firstly, you visit the Phyang Monastery, one of Ladakh's major artistic place. Then you continue to the Likir Monastery, one of the largest and oldest in the region, located in a mountainous setting with snowy peaks. Then you arrive at your guesthouse in Lamayuru. Overnight in guest house.
Day 4

3h drive
You wake up in the heart of a lunar and isolated landscape, offering a sumptuous gradient of rock colors. You then head towards the monastery of the village which rises at 4000m on a rocky peak; get enthralled with a magnificent view of the valley and the spectacular Indus river. Then you head back to the Alchi Monastery, the oldest Buddhist monastery in Ladakh dating back to the 11th century. In the late afternoon, you will reach Nimmu House, an emblematic heritage of the region and a charming eco-resort. Enjoy an excellent dinner in the garden and a delightful evening packed with peace and joy of living. Overnight at Nimmu House (subject to availability).
Day 5

6h road - 190 km
In the morning, you drive towards Pangong Tso Lake, also called the Lake of Five Colors. Along the way, you will visit Thiksey and Shey monasteries. The road continues through the Chang La Pass (5300m). Pause for a moment to get mesmerized by the view of the mountains and Kang Yatse at the height of 6400m. A great tranquility seizes you at the only sound of the multicolored prayer flags that mark each pass and flutter in the wind. You cross a beautiful Alpine Valley, walk along Chang Tso Lake and then climb towards the magnificent Pangong Tso Lake. Located in the region of Chiang Nyoma in the eastern part of Ladakh, it is one of the largest and most beautiful natural lakes. It stretches over 120 km, and only one- third of the lake is located in Indian territory, the rest being in the Chinese territory. Overnight in camp.
Day 6

5h drive - 160km
Morning departure to Leh. On the way, visit Matho and Chemrey Monastery. Chemrey Monastery is impressive and off the beaten track. This is a true city built on a rocky outcrop of sand color, like a mirage in the midst of the plains. It is mainly its architecture that makes it unique. It served as a backdrop for a superb film Samsara. Matho Monastery, built on a hill with a wonderful view over the Indus valley, is the only Ladakhi monastery of Sakyapa Sect. It was built by the great Lama Dugpa Dorje in the 15th century. Stroll through the old neighborhood below the royal palace where Ladakhi women, dressed in black dress and fuchsia belt, sell their vegetables. Explore the old bazaar filled with local handicrafts, ideal for buying souvenirs for yourself and your loved ones. Rest of the day will be free. Overnight in guest house.
Day 7

It's time to bid adieu to this spectacular region of Ladakh and take your flight back to Delhi. With your eyes on the sky, the spirit in the mountains, and heart still warm, you again get lost in the incredible view of the Himalayan range. At your arrival in Delhi, you leave with your private driver to drop your things at your hotel before exploring the capital of India. Visit the Agrasen Ki Baoli, an impressive sized and ornately decorated stepwell. In the evening, enjoy an exquisite dinner in the trendy Hauz Khas Village. Overnight at hotel.
Day 8

Depending on the time of your flight, treat yourself with a fabulous moment of relaxation during an Indian Ayurvedic massage. Based on the principle of rebalancing the energies of the body, its impact is ideal to conclude your holiday in style. According to your requirements, your driver remains at your disposal at all time before your flight. You can visit India Gate or explore the incredible Humanyun's Tomb.
