Welcome to Tokyo! You will be greeted at the airport by an assistant who will help you get back to your hotel by public transport. Depending on your arrival times, start your discovery of the megalopolis of a thousand faces.

Day 2

For this day of exploration in the thousand-faceted capital, you will be accompanied by an English-speaking guide. On the program: walks in the gardens of the Imperial Palace and in Gyoen and Yoyogi park. You will also visit Tokyo's iconic Shinto shrines: the Meiji-jingu and Hie jinja shrine. Then continue to the district of Shibuya, to see the famous dog Hachiko, and the famous Omote-Sando Street. Immerse yourself in a world of perpetual effervescence, stamped by the young fashion district.

Today you have a free day in Tokyo, and the possibilities are unlimited! Take a walk in Ueno Park, a favorite place for Tokyoites, the park will charm you with its museums as well as its beautiful temples and shrines. Explore Akihabara, which has become the capital of otaku virtual culture, this district is worth the detour for its permanent animation, its neon lights and its maid cafes. Explore the Asakusa district, the historic center of the capital, and breathe in the old-world charm of forgotten Tokyo. Pass by the charming pedestrianized street filled with quaint little stalls, Nakamise, and visit the Sensô-Ji Temple, standing on this site for over 1,000 years. Climb to the top of the Tokyo Sky Tree, the second tallest tower in the world, and admire a 360 ° view of the capital, with Mount Fuji in the background on a clear day. The choice is yours!

Once in Nikko you will have a day all to yourself. Between visits to sanctuaries classified as World Heritage by UNESCO, such as the must-see Nikko Tosho Gu, and a walk near waterfalls and springs coming from Lake Chuzenji, this is a day full of possibilities for you!

Enjoy the fresh air and the view of Lake Chuzenji and walk around its shores. Admire Kegon Falls, located in the heart of Nikkō National Park before setting out to explore the Chuzenji Buddhist Temple and see the Kannon statue, carved from a tree still rooted in the ground. Next, admire Ryuzu Falls, literally meaning "dragon's head" and discover the Nikko Futarasan Shinto Shrine in Tochigi Prefecture. Stroll through the grounds of the Shinto Temple founded by a Buddhist monk in the 8th century. Another day, to complete your discovery of historic Nikko.

Enjoy a free day to explore Tokyo, the multifaceted megalopolis at your leisure. Many visits and walks are at your fingertips. For a journey into the future, stroll through the beautiful landscaped garden of Hama Rikyu, which offers visitors the image of futuristic Tokyo sprinkled with delicate traditional touches. Take a walk on the man-made island of Odaiba for a taste of the future and a variety of entertainment options or visit the Science Museum which allows visitors to dive into a world of technology in order to better understand our daily universe. On the other hand, you can also choose to step back in time by visiting the Samurai Museum located in the heart of Shinjuku.

This free day in Kamakura will allow you to visit the various temples erected for centuries in the city. Visit the Great Buddha of Kamakura at Kotoku-in, one of the must-sees in the Kamakura region. Or, go visit the most important Shinto shrine in Kamakura: Tsurugaoka Hachimangu. Today Kamakura continues to revive the glorious era of the samurai through ancestral ceremonies: every year in April, Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gû welcomes the Kamakura matsuri. On this occasion, ritual dances, parades of portable shrines and even a samurai training, the yabusame. Take a history trip back to the heart of ancient Japan!
