With the inhabitants of Spiti

Himachal Pradesh
'

Spiti means “the middle land” as it is perched in the Himalayan Mountains between India and Tibet. A desert mountain valley in the North Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, Spiti Valley exudes a strong Tibetan flavor and culture. A tour in Spiti will take you through Manali, a breathtaking hill station that is the pride of Himachal Tourism, the capital of the Spiti Valley, Kaza, which is dotted with colourful Buddhist monasteries and believe it or not – the perfectly preserved 600 year old mummy of a sitting monk!

For Shanti Travel, responsible tourism is a key priority. Spiti’s fragile environment warrants that tourists leave behind the least travel footprint possible, so the valley’s landscape and population can sustain themselves.

So prepare yourself for this heavenly and unique adventure in the lap of the majestic Himalayas.
