In the late afternoon, do not miss the chance to admire the breathtaking Shwedagon Pagoda at sunset, a highlight of your trip.
Day 2

The mesmerising temples of Bagan
This morning, you take a short domestic flight to Bagan, one of the most beautiful archaeological sites in Asia and a highlight of your Southeast Asia tour. Your guide and private driver are there to welcome you and bring you on a visit to the most important monuments of Bagan. You start with the Dhammazedi Temple where you can admire the thousands of stupas and pagodas scattered as far as the eye can see throughout the plains of Bagan. Then you visit Ananda Temple, Shwezigon Pagoda and Sulamani Temple. At the end of the day, climb to the top of one of the temples to catch a beautiful sunset over the plains of Bagan.
Day 3

Hot air balloon ride and traditional market
Wake up at dawn to fly over the Bagan Plains aboard a hot air balloon. The serenity and light that surround this site at sunrise emit a special magic that offers you one of the most romantic moments of your Southeast Asia tour. After a good breakfast at your hotel, you visit the Manuha Temple located in Myinkaba village, home to many shops selling Burmese lacquerware, a handicraft which is known throughout the world. You will then visit the local market of Nyaung U and take a quiet stroll through colorful stalls, loaded with fruits and vegetables from the region.

On the way, you visit a workshop of Shan paper umbrellas, one of the many crafts of the region. You then embark aboard a traditional canoe and navigate through the stilt villages, floating gardens and Inthas fishermen, the ethnic group that inhabit the lake region. Many beautiful vestiges are hidden in this stunning site, almost giving you the feeling that time has stopped here. Then, continue to Sagaing Hill, a hill covered with pagodas, where you take the time to learn about the monks' life in a monastery. In Amarapura, you visit a factory making longyis, the traditional Burmese clothing, before taking a sunset stroll on U Bein Bridge, the longest teak bridge in the world.
Day 8

At the end of the day, climb aboard a songtaew, a traditional “bus” to ascend to the temple of Doi Suthep and enjoy a beautiful panorama of the city. In the evening, do not miss the night markets where many street food stalls offer the best local specialties.
Day 9

You get a chance to feed the elephants and, after a lunch in the park, you go down to the edge of the river to bathe them - take the opportunity to jump in the water and cool down! Help the staff rub these adorable giants while having fun splashing them. The experience is unique, for both adults and children. Return to Chiang Mai in the afternoon.
Day 10

The capital of Thailand
Before taking your flight to Bangkok, why not go shopping in the markets and shops of Chiang Mai to look for souvenirs to bring home to your loved ones?
