Day 1

Reception at the airport and transfer to hotel in central Delhi (or close to the airport according to the time of arrival). Overnight at hotel.

Day 2

Very early in the morning, you fly to Leh passing over the high Himalayas. You directly to the peaceful village of Nimmu about thirty kilometres from Leh. You acclimate smoothly enjoying stunning views of the mountains. Overnight in guest house.

Day 3

Day warm up: visit West Indus valley and monasteries Phyang, Likir and Alchi. Overnight in guest house

Day 4

Morning departure for 4/5 H trek until Upper Basgo, where you have lunch in a delightful setting, along a stream. Back in the afternoon to Nimmu House. Possibility to do a guided tour of the village of Nimmu instead of trekking. Night in guest house.

Day 5

3h road

TREK. Departure by jeep to Chilling. We find the mule team and begin our trek to the village of Yurutse. The valley narrows as we climb towards the village of Rumbak. We soon reach Skyu. Camp.

Day 6

6-7 hour walk

TREK. You will trek the trail along the Markha to a high desert plain, which will take you to the picturesque village of Markha. Camp.

Day 7

5/6 h walk

TREK. We will go up the Markha and visit the monastery of Humlung before joining the Hankar hamlet. The valley narrows and soon gains altitude. Camp at the pastures of Tachungtse.

Day 8

3 h walk

TREK. We borrow some steep paths, while the valley widens. Soon we reach the beautiful pastures of Nimaling dominated by Yatse Kang (6400 m). Camp overnight.

Day 9

6h walk

TREK long ascent Kongmaru La (5150 m) where the view is splendid on the Zanskar range. We descend to Chuskurmo where we set up camp.

Day 10

3 h + 1h walk away

TREK We descend to a small valley widens approach Shang. Arrival at Shang, transfer by car to visit Leh and Hemis Monastery. Overnight in guest house.

Day 11

Free day in Leh. Overnight in guest house.

Day 12

Early morning flight Leh - Delhi. Installation at the hotel in the center of New Delhi. Free afternoon. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 13

Free day in Delhi, in case of delay on the flight Delhi / Leh (mainly due to weather conditions). Transfer to the international airport in the evening.
