Day 1

You are greeted at the airport by your Thai speaking guide. He takes you to your hotel in the centre of Chiang Rai. Take off your evening to relax and unwind. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2

3h30 by Road
After breakfast, take the road to the border town of Chiang Khong. Having completed the formalities to leave the territory, with which your guide will help you, you board a shuttle. It is in this vehicle that you get to Laos by crossing the Mekong via the new bridge of friendship. You are met by your Laotian guide, who in turn helps you check in to Laos. You are in the Bokeo region, a mountainous region with many ethnic minorities. Step out to explore the local market and the outstanding Houessay That (Stupa). If the weather is favourable, you stop at the village of Ban Nam Chang, home to the exclusive Lanten ethnic minority. Overnight at a hotel in Luang Namtha.
Day 3

Your day consists of tuk-tuk rides through paddy fields and forests. On the road you discover villages inhabited by Lanten, Khmu, Akha and Thai Deng peole, and their traditional ways of life. Visit the Talat Sao (Morning Market) and the stupa of That Phnom Pouk in the village of Nam Ngaen. You end your journey with the Museum of Luang Namtha. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4

4 hours of easy walking
You leave again in a Tuk-Tuk for the Nam Ha Protected Park, to visit a Khmu village in the heart of the park. Your guide will take you on a hike through the forest, explaining the complex balance that sustains the biosphere reserve that surrounds you. On your way back, before returning to your Tuk-Tuk, you visit a Khmu village. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5

3 hours by road
You head toward Oudom Xay on a mountain road. You pass several ethnic minority villages and local cuisine restaurants where it is possible to make a stop. At Oudom Xay, you walk up to Mount Pou Tha, which overlooks the city. You end the day wandering through the market strongly imbued with the Chinese presence. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6

Today you leave for the village of Muang Khua with plenty of visits planned throughout the journey. Your first stop is at a Khmu village where, depending on the day of the week, you can visit a local market dominated by forest-related products and crafts. You continue on your way to Pak Nam Noy, then you make a stop in the village of Tai Dam, where you learn about the manufacture of Lao Lao, the Laotian traditional alcohol. On the road along river Pak Nam, you may see women who still practice panning for gold. At Muang Khua, you embark on a private cruise on the Nam Ou River. A stop on a white sand beach will give you an opportunity to enjoy a nice picnic lunch. By late afternoon, you arrive in Nong Khiau, which is famous for its karst formations. Carve your way through the rice fields and large white cliffs rich in caves and dense jungles. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7

Leave early in the morning to explore the sacred Pak Ou caves and see hundreds of Buddha statues at the confluence of the Nam Ou and Mekong Rivers. After lunch in a restaurant along the Mekong River, you go by boat to Luang Prabang for a gentle cruise on the famous river. On arrival in Luang Prabang, you begin your discovery of the treasures of the city with the temples of Long Khoun and Chom Pet. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 8

Before you have even had your breakfast, and the sun is barely up, you observe monks walking through the old city to collect alms from villagers. A market visit makes for a pleasant morning walk. After breakfast you will visit the Royal Palace in Luang Prabang, now turned into the National Museum. You will also visit some important temples in the city: Wat May, Wat That Luang, and Wat Manorom. After lunch, you move on to the magnificent temple of Xieng Thong and the temples of Aphay, Xieng Mouane and Choum Khong. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 9

In the morning you leave your hotel on a minibus to go into the Laotian countryside. In the middle of rice fields, you will follow the course of a typical Laotian day, learning the cultivation of rice. Advised by your guide and assisted by a water buffalo, you will be in the perfect mood for this aspect of the Laotian daily life. Then you enjoy some local products based on rice and cane sugar. Lunch, a picnic prepared by one of the best restaurants in Luang Prabang, will take place in the vicinity of the sublime waterfalls of Kuang Si. After a short hike around, you go back to Luang Prabang. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10

45 min flight
After a free morning in Luang Prabang, you are transferred to the airport for your flight to Vientiane. Once there, you visit Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple in the city, and the museum of Ho Phra Keo Temple. In between, you will visit the Pha That Luang stupa, the national symbol of Laos. Towards the end of the day, a stroll on the banks of the Mekong River will attune you to the relaxed atmosphere of Vientiane. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 11

4-5 hours walk
You leave early in the morning on the road to the national park of Phou Khao Kwai, rich in endemic flora and fauna. You explore the park with your guide, who specializes in orchids. Eat a picnic lunch in the park and cool off by swimming in the waterfall of Tad Say. To finish the day, you attend the traditional Baci ceremony (ceremony of the calling of souls) at a homestay.
Day 12

3 hours walk
You leave the village by car to reach the waterfall of Tad Leuk. Accompanied by your local guides and two experts in orchids, you walk through the forest along the river. Stop at the impressive waterfall of Tad Saang, where you have a picnic and possibly go for a swim. After a stop at the village of Ban Hat Khay, you go back to Vientiane.
Day 13

You have free time today before your transfer to the Vientiane International Airport. End of our Services.
