Day 1

Ayubowan, welcome to Sri Lanka! Your driver will pick you up at the airport and drive you to your first destination, Negombo.

Before checking-in, a first PCR test is organised at the hotel. After that, you enjoy a free day in Negombo.

Night at the hotel Heritance Negombo.

Day 2

Negombo – Sigiriya by road. Half day entry to Kaudulla National Park.

A half-day safari in Kaudulla National Park bordering Minneriya National Park, home to monkeys, sambar deer and a large number of elephants. (Included).(Estimated duration of the safari : 2:30 hours).

Free afternoon.

Night at the hotel Amaya Lake.

Day 3

Sigiriya – Polonnaruwa by road. Hop on a bicycle and set out on two wheels to explore the vast Polonnaruwa wooded park and discover the ruins (rental included).

Visit Polonnaruwa, the ancient royal capital (included). Take your time strolling through the ruins of this impressive site full of treasures and archaeological remains.

Night at the hotel Amaya Lake.

Day 4

Visit the famous UNESCO-listed Fortress of Sigiriya, also known as Lion's Rock (included). The fortress complex includes remnants of a ruined palace, surrounded by an extensive network of fortifications, vast gardens, ponds, canals, alleys and fountains. The ruins of Kassapa Palace are a must-see, renowned for its frescoes and 360 ° views of the surrounding valley.

Sigiriya – Dambulla by road. Sheltered under a huge rocky ledge, the site of Dambulla and its 5 caves contain countless Buddha statues lined against the walls and sublime murals (included).

Dambulla – Kandy by road. Free afternoon.

Night at the hotel Mountbatten Bungalow.

Day 5

A day in Kandy and its surroundings. Visit the Temple of the Tooth, a sacred temple that contains the most important Buddhist relic in the country. The legend says that the tooth was stolen from the Buddha's funeral pyre and brought to Sri Lanka hidden in the hair of a princess. (Tour included).

Kandy – Peradeniya by road. Visit the impressive Royal Botanical Garden of Peradeniya (included). Let yourself be captivated by the huge Java fig tree that covers an area of 2500 m², trees with cannonballs or the majestic Araucarias trail that seems to dance!

Peradeniya – Kandy by road.

Night at the hotel Mountbatten Bungalow.

Day 6

Free morning.

Kandy – Negombo by road.

Night at the hotel Heritance Negombo.

Day 7

Private transfer from Negombo to Colombo International Airport. Your driver will drop you at the airport 3 hours prior to your flight.

We wish you a safe journey home!

During your stay, 3 PCR tests are included (upon arrival, at day 5/7 and before you return home). Shanti Travel also put at your disposal 2 face mask and 2 pairs of chirurgical gloves per day as well as sanitizer. The Covid-19 insurance is also included (be aware that you’ll have to subscribe it again if you stay in Sri Lanka more than 30 days).
