Carbon compensation
Every day, you make small gestures for the planet: sort your waste, limit your water consumption or turn off your appliances on standby.
From now on, Shanti Travel is committed to a carbon-offsetting program with partner NGOs and reduce the CO2 emissions of its agency and of your travels by participating in the financing of sustainable development projects created by partner NGOs.
Together we participate in sustainable development for the good of our planet.

Carbon absorption project
Our carbon footprint : each of us responsible and engaged.
We calculate our own internal carbon footprint in terms of electricity consumption, water, waste and transportation and offset it on the same basis as our travelers at the end of the fiscal year.
During your trip
We calculate your average carbon footprint based on a 12 night/13 day stay including hotel, car and half a plane trip*.
*We based our calculation on an average of a 12 night/13 day stay for 3 people, including the electricity consumption of a 20m2 hotel room, 150 km per day driven by car, and a half internal flight. The total carbon footprint is 2.15 tons, or 48.15 € for 3 people (1.23 € per day per person). The total carbon compensation will be 1,23 € per day and per person and will depend on the duration of your stay and the number of people. Figures based on the ADEME.
Calculation in euro
Indexed on European standards, we have converted the ton of carbon into euros (22€/ton).
Sustainable development project
We invest in sustainable development projects (reforestation, renewable energy, permaculture, plastic reduction, recycling, etc.) created by partner NGOs.
Compensate for your international flight
The GoodPlanet Foundation, proposes to calculate, reduce and offset its greenhouse gas emissions. Their carbon calculator can help you calculate your carbon footprint. By choosing to voluntarily offset your emissions with the Action Carbone Solidaire program, you will be supporting projects led by entities with a social goal (NGOs, cooperatives, small businesses, etc.), i.e. projects that are part of an international solidarity and general interest approach.
