Between Sikkim and Bhutan

Bhutan
'

From great fortress to perched monasteries, from colored villages to isolated hamlets, this program has been specially conceived to discover this jewel of the Himalayan world: Sikkim and Bhutan. From the first days of traveling, the visitor is plunge in the heart of unique and green landscapes of Sikkim which traditions swing between Tibetan and Indian culture. From Gangtok, the road goes to the south of Bhutan for an unforgettable discovery of this mythic kingdom and its many wealth’s: seducing landscapes, typical architecture, lively culture and traditions... A real immersion in the heart of another world with in the background the eternal snows.

Located between Nepal and Bhutan, the Sikkim is still really preserved. From the middle mountains covered with thick forest at the south, to the snowy high peaks making the Tibetan border at the North, the landscapes are very contrasted. On the track of Alexandra David Neel, who remained in the area for many years, we discover this paradise with its tree ferns, its orchids, its giant rhododendrons and its magnificent monasteries.

The Bhutan, forbidden to foreigners for long, remains a very preserved country, where traditions and customs, are constantly mixed to the religion and rhythm the daily life. The discovery of its architecture will be the main appeal of this incredible tour.

Mainly a cultural discovery which includes just a few daily walks of 2 to 3 hours(moreover optional).
