Trip highlights
  • The exceptional hospitality of the Ladakhis
  • Rafting on the majestic River Indus
  • Enjoyable family trekking
  • Listening to the tales & legends of the Buddhist Himalayan culture

You will discover and share splendid experiences with your family during this trip in Ladakh. Rafting on the Indus river at its confluence with the River Zanskar, trekking on the arid and colorful mountains, observing the rural life that is quite lively during summer, traversing villages, green valleys of barley fields, and apple and apricot orchards, meeting Buddhist monks and chatting with them in monasteries perched on rocks and discovering a rich and generous culture... these are just some of the experiences you will take back with you.

The short (5 days) and easy (the altitude won't be more than 4000 m) trek leads to one of the most mythical parts of the Silk road through many villages and green valleys in the middle of a lunar world with monasteries perched on rocky promontory. You will cross smiling children and barley fields surrounded by majestic snowy mountains. Every night we will establish our camp next to a village. A mule will be arranged for each child when he/she is too tired to walk.
