The best time to visit Armenia is from May to October, when temperatures are pleasant, ranging from 15 to 23 °C, and there is plenty of sunshine. November and March can be good alternatives to enjoy a quieter atmosphere and avoid the crowds, despite the more changeable weather.

There are hikes to suit all levels, best undertaken between April and October, when conditions are at their most favourable. The ascent of the southern peak of Mount Aragats, which is more physically and technically demanding, does, however, require a local guide to ensure your safety.
