The best way to discover Indonesia is to slow down, go beyond the obvious, and let the journey surprise you.
Born in Indonesia and after spending 10 years living in Germany, I eventually returned home to my favorite island, Bali. Over the years, I’ve explored Indonesia from west to east, always looking for places that feel authentic, experiences that stay with you, and the little details that make a journey special.
From watching the sunrise from Mount Merbabu in Java to seeing orangutans in the wild in Kalimantan and discovering incredible dive spots in Bira, Sulawesi, I’ve experienced many different sides of my home country. Today, I combine this first-hand knowledge with my passion for travel planning to help you discover Indonesia in a way that feels personal, authentic, and unforgettable.
Whether you’re looking for adventure, nature, underwater experiences, cultural encounters, or simply a beautiful place to slow down, I love creating journeys that go beyond the usual highlights and fit the way you want to travel.

One of those rare days when everything simply comes together.
🐕 My favorite travel companions: My three rescued Bali dogs. They’ve become part of my everyday adventures and are a constant reminder that sometimes the best moments of a journey are the completely unplanned ones.

FAQ: Planning Your Trip to Indonesia with a Local Expert
Why work with a local expert based in Indonesia to organize your trip?
Indonesia is an enormous and incredibly diverse country, and knowing where to go, and just as importantly, where not to go, can make a huge difference. My first-hand experience allows me to recommend places based on more than just what you find online. I can help you understand how destinations connect, which experiences are genuinely worth the journey, and how to create a route that feels enjoyable rather than rushed.
Being based in Bali also means I’m on the ground and can support you with local knowledge throughout the planning process and during your trip.
How does the process of creating a tailor-made itinerary work?
I start by getting to know you: what you enjoy, how you like to travel, your interests, your preferred pace, and what you’re hoping to experience in Indonesia.
From there, I create a journey that combines some of Indonesia’s highlights with places and experiences that feel right for you. Whether that means hiking a volcano, diving with manta rays, exploring a remote island, discovering local culture, or simply having time to relax, every itinerary is designed around the traveler rather than following a fixed formula.
Can I completely customize my trip to Indonesia?
Absolutely. That’s the whole idea of a tailor-made journey.
You might want to combine Bali with Komodo and Flores, explore Java by train, spend time diving in Sulawesi, venture into the jungles of Kalimantan, or simply slow down and discover a few places more deeply.
We can adjust the destinations, activities, accommodation, transportation, and pace to create a trip that feels genuinely yours.
What makes Indonesia special for you?
For me, it’s the incredible diversity. Indonesia isn’t just one destination, it’s thousands of islands, hundreds of cultures, completely different landscapes, and an underwater world that never seems to stop surprising me.
And because it’s my home, I don’t just want to show you Indonesia. I want to help you experience the parts of it that made me fall in love with it in the first place.
